Geoff Beardall, Sam Pratt, and Rick Ofsanko, restructured and began ownership of the environmental services firm Earth Systems, Inc. in 1999 with an office in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. All three owners previously worked for national companies and wanted to respond to clients needs with more convenience, reliability, quality, and affordability. The founders also wanted Earth Systems to help build a mutually supportive network of relationships (a sense of community), which helps individuals, the community, and society at large. Many firms rely on a corporate process or management system to make the best out of an average work force. Earth Systems disagrees with this philosophy. We dont staff with cogs or rely on a detailed manual. We hire talented people who provide value to our clients. In validation of Earth Systems business approach, the firm has flourished, adding offices in West Palm Beach, Tampa, and Tallahassee, Florida; Burnsville North Carolina; Bismarck, North Dakota, and Belmar, New Jersey. Our clients, employees, regulators, and subcontractors say good things about us. We have been Hess Corporations environmental consultant in the southeast since 2000, an FDEP Bureau of Petroleum Storage Systems Contractor since 2004, and an FDEP Bureau of Waste Cleanup Contractor since 2011. Earth Systems has contracts with Whiting Petroleum Corp., Zavanna, XTO Energy, Emerald Oil, and Hess Exploration & Production for environmental support in the Bakken Oil Field of North Dakota. Most recently, Earth Systems opened an office in New Jersey that provides oversight from Licensed Site Remediation Professionals to clean up contaminated sites per applicable standards and regulations.
